Renee Johnson is a talented and passionate interior designer with a keen eye for aesthetics and a love for all things flora and fauna. Her journey in the world of design began when she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Harrington Institute in Chicago, IL, in 2005. Since then, she has blossomed into a creative force, drawing inspiration from her travels, antiquing adventures, and the beauty of nature.

Renee’s designs are a unique blend of artistry and functionality, influenced by her dream of becoming a movie set designer. Her schooling career in Interior Design provided her with a solid foundation, and she honed her skills during a decade-long stint in commercial construction. Always open to new ideas, she dreams of incorporating Landscape Design into her repertoire, adding an extra touch of natural beauty to her projects.

One of Renee’s true passions lies in the realm of flora and fauna. She finds solace and inspiration in the beauty of nature, which often reflects in her designs. A collector of mid-century barware and antique vases/vessels, Renee’s love for art and design extends beyond her professional life.

Travel plays a pivotal role in Renee’s design philosophy. Her adventures around the world, from countryside England to other enchanting destinations, provide her with a treasure trove of ideas and perspectives. She infuses her designs with the essence of diverse cultures and landscapes, creating spaces that tell unique stories.

Renee’s dream location is in the mountains of Western North Carolina, where she finds peace and joy. Surrounded by nature’s bounty, she draws inspiration from her surroundings to craft spaces that seamlessly blend with the environment.

As a designer, Renee excels in problem-solving and creating innovative designs using available materials. She constantly explores new and upcoming trends, staying at the forefront of the industry.

In her downtime, Renee relishes the simple pleasure of fried egg on avocado toast, a delightful combination of flavors that satisfies her culinary senses.

While Renee does not have a favorite color, she believes that brown is an underrated hue with endless possibilities in design.

Renee Johnson’s dedication to nature, family, and creative expression shines through in her exceptional designs. Her love for flora and fauna, combined with her imaginative vision, continues to inspire and captivate those who have the pleasure of experiencing her work.
